Extractions & Wisdom Teeth
Sometimes a tooth has to come out, and wisdom teeth in particular often need to go before they cause crowding, infection, or pain. We handle extractions in-house, and we schedule sedation days for the cases that call for it.
Wisdom teeth, handled here
Wisdom teeth frequently come in sideways, only partway, or with no room to fit, and that leads to pain, swelling, and problems for the teeth next to them. Removing them at the right time is far easier than waiting until they cause trouble.
For wisdom teeth and other surgical extractions, we hold scheduled in-office sedation days so the procedure can be done comfortably in one visit. These days fill up, so when we announce the next dates it is worth calling early to get on the schedule.
When a tooth cannot be saved
We always prefer to save a natural tooth when we can. But a tooth that is badly broken, severely decayed, or beyond repair is sometimes better removed than kept. When that is the case, we take it out as gently as possible and talk through how to replace it, from implants to bridges to partials.
