Relief, not the thing to fear

The pain people associate with a root canal is almost always the infection, not the treatment. We numb the tooth thoroughly, clean out the infected tissue inside, and seal the canal so bacteria cannot return. Most patients are surprised by how comfortable it is and how much better they feel afterward.

A tooth that has had a root canal usually needs a crown to protect it, and because we now make crowns in-house, we can often handle that part quickly too.

Saving the natural tooth

Keeping your own tooth is almost always better than removing it. A treated tooth can last for years and keeps your bite and neighboring teeth in place. If you have deep tooth pain, sensitivity to heat, or a lingering ache, call us so we can find out what is going on.
